PESHAWAR ( Kashif Uddin Syed): The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has intensified its crackdown on property tax defaulters across the province, leading to the sealing of several tax-delinquent units and notable recoveries.

Excise department officials say the ongoing special campaign is ramping up to collect outstanding taxes, with significant action taken in various districts. In Nowshera, under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Fawad Iqbal Khan, several defaulting units were sealed in the Jehangira area, and nearly Rs. 300,000 was recovered in a single day.

Similarly, in Mardan, a targeted operation led by Excise and Taxation Officer Mohammad Khalid Khan resulted in the sealing of several property units. The operation saw a recovery of over Rs—2.1 million, which was promptly deposited into the government treasury.

In Mansehra, properties were sealed for non-payment of the UIP tax, while in Peshawar’s Karkhano Market, multiple property units were sealed as part of the department’s continued efforts to enforce tax compliance.

The Excise Department has made it clear that this campaign will continue without discrimination, with a firm commitment to enforcing tax laws. Property owners have been urged to pay their outstanding taxes on time to avoid legal action and further complications.
