The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, stated that the people of Sindh do not want the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to continue ruling the province. While addressing his supporters, Afridi remarked, Asif Zardari has ended the political legacy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.

This comment followed his arrival in Karachi, where he received support from the PPP government of Sindh. He accused the provincial government of locking the doors of Bagh Jinnah, yet affirmed that the planned rally would still take place.

During a reception hosted by Sindh United Party Chief Syed Zain Shah in Jamshoro District, Afridi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received. He highlighted the positive news of the Sindh United Party fighting for the rights of the people of Sindh.

Afridi said that they are continuing the struggle for true freedom under the leadership of Imran Khan across Pakistan, emphasizing their commitment to fighting for free media, an independent judiciary, and the rule of law. He vowed not to rest until they fulfill Imran Khan’s heartfelt desire.

We will reach out to every proud and conscious citizen to prepare for the street movement and invite their support,” he stated. He encouraged his followers, saying, “Whenever Imran Khan calls for a street movement, we will respond, and you all will support us fully.

Afridi criticized Asif Ali Zardari for undermining the politics of Benazir Bhutto and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He noted that, although the gates of Jinnah Bagh have been locked, they will continue to hold meetings. He claimed that Sindh is currently under Zardari’s control.

The PPP calls itself the champion of the Constitution and the 18th Amendment. However, it’s unfortunate that this same party altered the fundamental structure of the Constitution through the 26th and 27th Amendments, he said.

Afridi expressed the necessity of holding a meeting the following day to send a strong message to the world: Sindh was Imran Khan’s and will remain Imran Khan’s. He asserted that the people of Sindh have recognized the true faces of their leaders and are seeking change, indicating their unwillingness to tolerate the current circumstances any longer.

He concluded by highlighting the fear surrounding Imran Khan’s name, stating, Those who are afraid to mention his name tend to speak in gestures instead. Why do they avoid saying his name directly?
