‎‎The Islamabad administration launched cracked down on those violating the security lockdown and Section 144 imposed across the city and detained dozens of people.

‎According to the authorities, clear orders were issued to keep shops and hotels closed in sensitive areas of the city for security reasons. However, in some areas, joint raids were conducted by the district administration and police teams and shopkeepers and hotel owners who flouted these orders were caught red-handed.

‎According to the police spokesperson, the arrests were made after Keeping businesses open after the stipulated time:

‎ The purpose of the security lockdown is to protect the lives and property of citizens, and no concessions will be made to those who interfere in it.


‎Cases have been registered against the arrested persons in the relevant police stations and several shops have been sealed.
‎The administration has appealed to the citizens and the business community to cooperate with the security agencies in view of the current situation in the country so that any untoward incident can be avoided.
