Seven people were killed and three others injured in two roadside explosions in Ahmadzai area of ​​Bannu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The explosion severely damaged the van and a car.

Five people in the passenger van died on the spot in the blast. The DPO said that shortly after the first blast, when Rescue 1122 personnel and locals arrived for relief operations, the second blast was carried out. Two rescue workers were killed and three others injured in the “double blast” strategy.

DPO Yasir Afridi confirmed that the explosives were planted on the roadside and were detonated by remote control. The bodies and injured were immediately shifted to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital Bannu where medical aid is being given to the injured.
