RIYADH: Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Asim Munir was awarded the King Abdulaziz Medal (First Class) by Saudi Minister of Defense Khalid bin Salman at the instruction of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Salman for his distinguished leadership and outstanding services.
The honor of the King Abdulaziz Medal was given to Field Marshal Asim Munir in recognition of the significant contributions he made in strengthening the defense partnership and the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. With his leadership, he was instrumental in elevating strategic cooperation between the two countries.
The two nations are now enjoying strategic cooperation which was made possible largely by his active role. The King Abdulaziz Medal, the highest military order of the Kingdom is the token of the deep, historical, and strategic ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and the redoubling of their common will for the region to be stable, secure, and prosperous.
