Saudi Arabia has paid tribute to the responsible stance and wise steps of the Pakistani government to resolve the ongoing tensions and crises in the region through peaceful means.
Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki, while issuing a video statement, said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia appreciates Pakistan’s continuous steps that demonstrate a positive and constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
He said that this wise attitude of Pakistan is of utmost importance in the current situation. Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki expressed serious concern over the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.
The Saudi ambassador said that these steps are unjustified aggression against sovereign states that are not part of any dispute, and these actions fall under the category of blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter.
He said that these regrettable attacks have not only resulted in the loss of civilian lives, but also targeted important civilian infrastructure, including residential areas, airports and hotels, which is a serious violation of international law.
Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki warned that these threats are now spreading to the global artery, the Strait of Hormuz, which is not just a sea route but also a guarantee of the stability of the global economy and energy security.
He clarified that this is no longer just a regional threat but has become a global humanitarian problem that is directly affecting the lives and rights of people around the world to development. According to the Saudi ambassador, there can be no compromise on the security of states and the peace of the region is the shared responsibility of all countries.
The Saudi ambassador said that his message is not merely political but purely humanitarian, because respect for international law is an indispensable requirement for the protection of the future of all.
He expressed his belief that the only way to overcome the current crises is through wisdom, international solidarity, and strict adherence to humanitarian principles, and that this path can ensure the preservation of peace and security in the world.
