PESHAWAR: CNG supply has been restricted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with authorities introducing a new schedule under which gas will be available at CNG stations for only six hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
According to All Pakistan CNG Association (KP) Chairman Parvez Khan Khattak, CNG stations will receive gas from 7:00am to 9:00am, 12:00pm to 2:00pm, and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
He said the restrictions were due to limited availability of imported RLNG and disruption caused by flood damage to a gas pipeline in North Waziristan around 10 days ago.
Khattak added that repair work on the damaged pipeline had entered its final stage and was expected to be completed by Saturday evening, after which gas supply conditions were likely to improve gradually.
