PESHAWAR: Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has finalised comprehensive emergency arrangements across the province for Eidul Azha, with operational staff directed to remain on high alert throughout the holidays.
According to Director General Shah Fahad, leave for operational personnel has been cancelled to ensure uninterrupted emergency response services during the Eid holidays.
He said all Rescue 1122 stations across the province, including merged districts, would remain fully functional round the clock, while ambulances, fire and disaster response vehicles, rescue equipment and emergency machinery had been kept in operational condition.
The DG Rescue 1122 said that additional emergency equipment, medical supplies, and rescue gear had also been provided to stations to effectively respond to any untoward incidents during Eid days.
Special rescue deployments have been made at tourist destinations, while trained divers along with rescue boats have been stationed at rivers, dams and canals to prevent drowning incidents and ensure public safety.
Mr Shah Fahad further said Rescue 1122 had also completed preparations to deal with possible heatwave emergencies during the Eid holidays.
He urged citizens to adopt precautionary measures and immediately dial 1122 in case of any emergency, adding that all Rescue 1122 control rooms across the province would remain fully active during Eidul Azha.
