The administration of Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) has reacted to the complaints filed with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Anti-Corruption Establishment, saying that all recruitments carried out at the institution are conducted strictly in accordance with the Medical Teaching Institutions (MTI) Reforms Act, relevant rules and regulations, and approved policies, ensuring complete transparency and merit.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment has formally launched an investigation into multiple complaints against the Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar.

The complaints include allegations of corruption, irregularities in recent recruitment, and abuse of authority within the institution. As part of the investigation, anti-corruption authorities have sought the complete appointment records of the hospital’s Chief Internal Auditor, Director of Finance, and Director of Procurement.

According to the administration, the prescribed legal procedure is strictly followed at every stage of recruitment, and equal treatment is ensured for all candidates. The institution maintains that no irregularity or violation of rules is tolerated in the recruitment process.

The administration further stated that various government bodies have, from time to time, reviewed recruitment and administrative matters at Hayatabad Medical Complex, and that no irregularity or violation has been found in any of the reviews conducted so far.

Officials said the institution remains fully committed to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law. The foremost priority of the administration, they added, is to select the best available workforce purely based on merit, transparency, and professional competence, so that the public can be provided with quality, safe, and timely medical services.

Over the past six months, Hayatabad Medical Complex has undertaken several important initiatives to strengthen medical services, administrative reforms, infection control, patient-friendly measures, digital facilities, and infrastructure development across the hospital and its affiliated institutes, with positive results already visible.

The administration reaffirmed its resolve to continue pursuing reforms, transparency, merit, and improved medical services in the future, so that Hayatabad Medical Complex and its affiliated institutions can more effectively fulfil their responsibility of providing modern and quality healthcare to the public.

The administration has appealed to the public not to believe baseless rumours and unverified information being circulated on social and electronic media regarding Hayatabad Medical Complex, and to rely only on authentic and verified sources for information related to the institution.
