Thunderstorms and snowfall are likely in different parts of the country during the next 12 to 24 hours, on which the National Disaster Risk Management Authority (NDMA) has also issued an alert.

According to the NDMA spokesperson, snowfall is expected in the upper and mountainous areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while hail may occur along with rain in various areas of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Rain and hail have also been predicted in Islamabad and central and southern areas of Punjab, while rain is likely in various cities of Karachi, interior Sindh and Balochistan, including Quetta.
The NDMA has warned that roads may become slippery due to rain and traffic flow is likely to be affected, therefore, passengers have been instructed to exercise caution.

The NDMA has particularly warned of flash floods in low-lying areas and possible urban flooding in cities, advising citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.
