PESHAWAR: The Metrological Department has forecast rain and snow fall in some part of Pakistan.
According to the Met Office, a weak westerly wind wave is likely to affect the northern mountainous regions tonight and tomorrow.
The new spell is expected to lower temperatures and maintain foggy and smoggy conditions in the plains.
Under its influence, rain and snowfall are expected across Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Met office, the system is mild but sufficient to bring widespread light precipitation in the higher altitudes.
The Met Department has warned that due to rainfall and snowfall, temperatures in the upper parts of the country may drop by up to three degrees over the next few days.
Despite expected precipitation in the north, the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to continue experiencing fog and smog.
Further more Morning and evening visibility may remain low, and authorities may issue advisories for commuters.
