DOHA: Qatar Airways has issued an official statement informing that all flights will remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatar’s airspace.
The airline says that flights will resume only when the ‘Qatar Civil Aviation Authority’ declares the airspace safe and announces the reopening. The next major update regarding flights will be issued on March 4, 2026 at 9 am Doha time.
Qatar Airways has announced facilities for passengers whose bookings were made between February 28 and March 10. The company said that no additional charges will be levied for changes up to 14 days from the original travel date.
According to reports, several Gulf countries, including Qatar, have closed their airspace over security concerns following the US and Israel’s attacks on Iran and rising military tensions in the region. Doha’s Hamad International Airport, one of the world’s busiest transit hubs, is currently facing uncertainty, leaving thousands of passengers stranded.
