Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) announces shutter down strike and torch-carrying rallies across the country to demonstrate protest on February 08.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf meeting held at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House discussed the party’s future political strategy and important national and provincial issues, after which the joint parliamentary party’s declaration was issued. PTI leader Asad Qaiser read out the joint parliamentary party’s declaration at the meeting held at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House. According to the declaration, torch-carrying rallies will be held after Maghrib prayers on February 8, while a shutter-down strike will be held during the day. The party has appealed to shopkeepers to join the protest.

The meeting also expressed concern over the health issues of the founder of the PTI and demanded that his personal physician be given immediate access to the founding chairman. It was also announced to present a reminder memorandum before the Supreme Court in this regard. Rejecting the forced evacuation from the Tirah Valley during the meeting, it was said that the immediate rehabilitation of the residents there should be ensured. The participants demanded that the affected people be resettled in their homes without delay and a permanent solution to their problems should be found.
