The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has officially granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) for its acquisition of a private telecom company.

According to the PTA, the NOC was issued following a thorough review of all relevant rules and regulations. The authority assessed the potential impact of the transaction on market competition and consumer interests.

The PTA also held consultations with relevant government bodies to ensure that all legal requirements were met. With the NOC in hand, PTCL can now proceed with completing the necessary legal and commercial processes.

Both PTCL and the acquired company are required to maintain service continuity and quality throughout the transition. They must also comply fully with all licensing conditions. The PTA stated that it will conduct strict monitoring of the entire process to protect consumer rights.
