Around 500 students at Government Ammar Shaheed School in Landi Kotal, Khyber district, are facing difficulties following the suspension of electricity supply, prompting calls for the installation of a solar power system at the school.
According to sources, the prolonged power outage has created problems for students and staff, particularly regarding access to clean drinking water. The school’s computer laboratory has also remained non-functional due to the lack of electricity.
The disruption has raised concerns over the learning environment and basic facilities available to students at the school.
The school administration said it had submitted applications to the Education Department seeking the installation of a solar power system to address the electricity shortage.
