The police have expanded the scope of the investigation by registering a case under the provisions of murder in the tragic incident of the death of a woman in a fire in the Sultanpur area of Abbottabad.
On the instructions of DPO Abbottabad Haroon Rashid Khan, SP Havelian Jamil-ur-Rehman visited the crime scene located within the limits of the POF police station and reviewed the investigation in detail. On this occasion, he inspected different parts of the house, available evidence and other related matters.
Police officials also obtained information from the local people, heirs and people present at the scene so that various aspects of the incident could be reviewed. According to the police, taking timely action, several suspicious persons have been taken into custody and interrogation has begun with them, while a case has been registered under Section 302 PPC on the complaint of the woman’s brother and further investigation is underway.
Police say that the incident is being investigated from every angle and all legal requirements will be met to bring the facts to light.
