ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended the Pakistan Army for giving a strong and decisive response to the Afghan Taliban’s aggression.

The Prime Minister announced that Pakistan would defend its national defense capabilities through the implementation of a strong military response to any hostile actions.

The Pakistan Armed Forces have dedicated their capabilities to protect the nation according to Field Marshal Asim Munir’s strategic command. The Prime Minister confirmed that the security forces of the nation possess complete military skills and operational defense methods to handle all domestic and foreign threats.

Prime Minister Sharif declared that Pakistan has always supported peaceful solutions but he will protect his country through strong military action against any aggressor. He declared that Pakistan will use its full military strength to protect itself from threats which Prime Minister Sharif described as the country’s commitment to support its military forces.

Tarar: 72 Taliban militants killed, 120 injured in Pakistan’s counterattack

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar confirmed that Pakistan military forces achieved a successful counter operation against the Afghan Taliban regime which resulted in substantial militant casualties.

Tarar reported that the operation resulted in 72 Taliban militants killed and more than 120 others wounded. The Pakistani forces successfully destroyed 16 Taliban posts while capturing 7 of these positions. The mission resulted in the destruction of a major ammunition depot and battalion headquarters and sector headquarters along with more than 36 tanks and artillery guns and armoured personnel carriers (APCs).

Tarar stated that Pakistan military forces will maintain their effective counterattacks while continuing to respond with maximum power against any future attacks. He confirmed that Pakistan will conduct additional operations to secure its borders and combat terrorism as part of its ongoing security commitment.
