LONDON: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in London following the completion of his visit to Saudi Arabia, where Pakistan and the Kingdom signed a landmark defence agreement.
The premier, who will remain in London until Sunday, is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
En route, Shehbaz Sharif made a brief two-hour stopover in Geneva to meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, currently in the Swiss capital for medical treatment. During the meeting, the prime minister informed his elder brother about the pact concluded with Saudi Arabia and conveyed a special message from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
On Saturday, the prime minister is scheduled to address a large community gathering in London, organised by the Overseas Pakistan Foundation and the PML-N UK chapter led by Ahsan Dar.
