‎Prime Minister appointed Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu as Chairman Security Exchange commission of Pakistan (SECP) notification issued.

‎Dr. Kabir Sidhu is currently serving as Chairman Competition Commission of Pakistan. Dr. Kabir Sidhu has over 20 years of legal and regulatory experience in the UK and Pakistan.

‎Dr. Kabir Sidhu holds a PhD from the University of Manchester, an expert in law and banking.

‎Dr. Sidhu’s doctorate is on stock exchanges regulations and investor protection. Dr. Sidhu has served with insurance companies, law firms and financial institutions in the UK

‎He served as a senior legal consultant in the Ministry of Law and the Privatization Commission. Dr. Sidhu’s tenure saw the Competition Commission reduce the judicial backlog by 70%.

‎In two years, 434 out of 567 cases were decided by the courts and tribunals.

‎Dr. Kabir Sidhu’s balanced and transparent decision on PTCL-Telenor merger praised internationally.
