ISLAMABAD (Azmatullah): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing projects under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, as well as to discuss proposals for new initiatives for the upcoming year.
The government is committed to providing enhanced opportunities for education, skills development, employment, and business ventures for the youth. Measures are being intensified to offer world-class education and training in information technology and other fields. The Higher Education Commission and the Ministry of Information Technology will present a comprehensive action plan to align IT education in universities with global standards.
The Prime Minister said that the Youth Program should prioritise technical and vocational training, which will increase employment opportunities for young people both domestically and internationally. He also instructed the program to consolidate various easy loan schemes into a single platform to facilitate business startups.
Additionally, the Prime Minister directed the Youth Program to collaborate with the Ministry of Industries to provide electric bikes to youth from low-income and middle-class backgrounds.
