Petroleum product consumers may soon experience some relief as fuel prices are expected to decline over the next two weeks. Prices for petrol, high-speed diesel, kerosene oil, and light diesel oil are anticipated to be lowered starting January 16.

This reduction in prices should lower transportation costs and alleviate financial pressure on households.

According to Reports, Petrol prices are projected to decrease slightly, offering some relief to commuters who rely on motorcycles and cars. The price may drop by Rs4.59 per litre, going from Rs253.17 to Rs248.58.

High-speed diesel is also likely to become cheaper, with a potential reduction of Rs2.70 per litre, bringing its price down from Rs257.08 to Rs254.38.

According to the reports, Kerosene oil may see a modest price cut as well, with a decrease of Rs1.82 per litre, lowering its price from Rs170.88 to Rs169.06.

Light diesel oil is expected to decline by Rs2.08 per litre, reducing its price from Rs146.18 to Rs144.10.

If approved, these price cuts would provide some relief for consumers, help lower transport expenses, and ease financial pressures on farmers and small businesses.
