PESHAWAR: SSP Operation Peshawar, Farhan Khan warned the public celebrating the New Year, as he said that the aerial firing, fireworks and over speeding would not be permitted.
SSP Khan in his video message on X, warned that shooting in the air and reckless driving would result in terrifying accidents and death. He also said that such behaviours would not be tolerated and violators would be given strict penalties. Those who will be caught doing such things may find themselves in jail for the New Year.

To stop any such incidents from taking place, police will be highly alert during the celebrations. Farhan Khan on his part also advised people to ring in the New Year safely and responsibly. He proposed offering blood, cleaning, and assisting hospital patients as good deeds for New Years’ time.

Nowshera police arrest mastermind of National Bank Tarojaba robbery
On Monday, the Pabbi police station has achieved a breakthrough in the National Bank Tarojaba robbery case, arresting the mastermind behind the heist and recovering Rs7.38 million of the stolen money.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Resham Jehangir confirmed that the suspect, a serving employee of the Education Department Nowshera, had confessed to multiple bank robberies across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
SP Jahangir told journalists that the robbery took place on January 14, 2025, at the National Bank in the Tarojaba area. Following the incident, police collected evidence from the scene and launched an investigation to identify the culprits.
Under the supervision of District Police Chief Ahmed Shah, a special team comprising senior officers, including SDPO Adnan Azam, SHO Ashfaq Ahmed, and CFU In-Charge Sajid Iqbal, was tasked with apprehending the criminals and recovering the looted cash and valuables. Acting on intelligence, the team arrested the mastermind during a police blockade while he attempted to retrieve his share of the stolen money.
During interrogation, the suspect revealed that he had carried out the robbery with his associates, including Syed Riaz Hussain, Arif Hussain, Syed Dildar Hussain, Syed Muhammad, and Syed Nasir Hussain, all residents of Shlozan Road, Parachinar. SP Jahangir said the gang had operated as an organised family network and exploited the mastermind’s respected position as a teacher to avoid suspicion.
Police have intensified operations to apprehend the remaining members of the gang, whose arrests are expected soon.
