Director General Passports & Immigration Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa announced that the Passport Office will work in double shifts until 12:00 Am midnight.
A double shift has been introduced at the Hayatabad Passport Office. Director General of Passports & Immigration, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, while making the official announcement at the Hayatabad Passport Office in response to strong public demand, said that this step has been taken to provide timely facilities to the public and to reduce the rush at passport offices.
He stated that the Hayatabad Passport Office will now operate in both morning and evening shifts, i.e. it will remain open until 12 AM at night. This will speed up the process of passport issuance and renewal, and the double shift will enable hundreds of additional applications to be processed daily.
The public has appreciated the DG Passports & Immigration’s public-friendly initiative and paid tribute to DG Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa for it. Citizens said they previously faced difficulties due to long waiting times and standing in queues. Now, with the double shift, they will get services more quickly, which is a commendable step by the federal government.
