PESHAWAR: Passenger transport fares in Peshawar have been revised following a continued increase in diesel prices with the new rates taking effect from August 12.

The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a notification setting revised fares for passengers travelling on various routes across the city.

According to the authority, the new fares were determined under a revised fare schedule following the increase in diesel prices.

Transport operators have been instructed to charge passengers only according to the officially approved rates.
