PESHAWAR: It has been announced that employees of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) will receive a bonus equivalent to one month’s salary. This bonus applies to regular, contract, and deputation employees.

According to the details, the Board of Directors of PESCO has approved this annual bonus in recognition of employees’ excellent performance during the financial year 2025-26. A formal notification regarding this has also been issued.

The notification states that all regular, contract, and deputation employees will receive one month’s basic salary as a bonus. Additionally, employees working on lump sum contracts and daily wages will be awarded a performance incentive equal to one month’s initial basic salary.

However, only those employees who have been on the company’s payroll for at least six months will be eligible for this bonus.

While PESCO management has provided good news for employees, they have also imposed strict conditions to ensure transparency within the organization. The notification clarifies that employees involved in corruption, power theft, or malpractice will not be eligible for this bonus.

Furthermore, employees facing inquiries from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), or other investigative bodies, as well as those who have received departmental punishments, will also be disqualified from receiving this performance incentive.

To prioritize customer convenience, the company has stated that bonuses for officers who delay or hinder the provision of net metering and billing connections will be withheld.

Additionally, staff and officers who do not promptly resolve public complaints submitted through the government’s 118 complaint portal will also miss out on the bonus.
