PESHAWAR (Kashifuddin Syed): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sealed 14 business centres owned by Afghan refugees in Peshawar under the ongoing crackdown on illegal Afghan nationals.
According to official sources, the crackdown on illegal foreign nationals has continued for the past several months in Peshawar city and adjacent areas.
They said during an action in Peshawar city on Thursday, a vegetable market, 14 business centres of Afghan refugees have been sealed in Peshawar.
They added that shops have been sealed in the vegetable market located near Firdous Phatak and Shahi Bagh. Due to the sealing of shops, there has been a shortage of vegetables in Peshawar, and the prices of vegetables have also started increasing.
After the sealing of vegetable business centres in Peshawar, citizens are facing difficulties regarding vegetables. Due to the closure of the road near Government College Chowk, the problems of citizens are continuously increasing.
