SHANGLA: A tragic incident occurred in Shangla due to heavy snowfall and road closures, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy. The deceased has been identified as Ayas Khan, the son of Ajmal Khan, a resident of Puran Bela.
According to sources, Ayas Khan was experiencing medical complications and a lack of oxygen due to a severe cold. However, because the roads beyond Bela Amni were closed and the routes were extremely difficult, it was impossible to transport him to the hospital promptly.
His condition worsened during the long and challenging journey, and he unfortunately passed away en route. Local residents have expressed concerns that, despite continuous snowfall in the area, timely and effective measures were not taken to restore the roads. Additionally, there were no emergency rescue or medical facilities available.
The public has described this incident as a result of administrative negligence and poor planning. Citizens are demanding the immediate rehabilitation of roads, the establishment of emergency rescue services, and the provision of basic medical facilities in remote areas during the snowfall season to prevent such tragic events from happening in the future.
