A petition for acquittal was filed by journalist Matiullah Jan. Judge Tahir Abbas Supra said that you have the right to apply; you should argue the application. The assistant lawyer said that Mian Ali Ashfaq will give arguments on this application. Judge Tahir Abbas Supra said that he will give arguments after seeing the prosecution’s application. The assistant lawyer said that Mian Ali Ashfaq is busy in the Anti-Terrorism Court, Lahore today, the court issued notices on the acquittal application, and the court adjourned the hearing of the case.

The Anti-Terrorism court(ATC) in Peshawar summoned witnesses and the investigation officer in the Radio Pakistan attack case.
The Radio Pakistan attack case was heard in the special Anti-Terrorism Court in Peshawar. The hearing was conducted by ATC Judge Wali Muhammad Khan. The court ordered the prosecution to appear with witnesses and the investigation officer to appear along with the case materials at the next hearing. The plaintiff also submitted a power of attorney to the court.
According to the prosecution, on May 9, 2023, angry protesters set fire to the Radio Pakistan building, after which a case was registered against more than 80 accused, including PTI members of the assembly, Meena Khan Afridi, Fazal Elahi, and Asif Khan, at the Sharqi police station.
The prosecution says that the police have completed the investigation and started the trial against the accused; however, nine accused are still absconding during the trial and are not appearing, while the prosecution witnesses have also not appeared in court yet.
The court ordered the prosecution witnesses to appear at the next hearing along with the case file and adjourned the further hearing until November 25. On May 9, 2023, during nationwide protests, angry people attacked and set fire to the Radio Pakistan building in Peshawar.
Immediately after the incident, a case was registered at the Sharqi police station, in which more than 80 people, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the assembly, Meena Khan Afridi, Fazal Elahi, and Asif Khan, were named.
The named people included party workers as well as other citizens, who were charged with arson, damage to government property, and terrorism.
