A breakthrough has been made for the promotion of the electric vehicle industry in Pakistan, and a joint venture has been signed between Margalla Heavy Industries and Jolta Electric for the manufacture of electric vehicles.

The agreement was signed by Jolta Electric Chairman Dr. Muhammad Amjad and Margalla Heavy Industries CEO Ahsan Nadeem. Jolta Electric Managing Director Shahzeb Amjad and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Under the joint venture, electric vehicles will be provided to government institutions, the corporate sector, and private consumers across Pakistan. The project will also work on the development of an innovative “swappable battery ecosystem”.

After two and three-wheeler electric vehicles, the joint venture will also start manufacturing four-wheeler electric vehicles.
