ISLAMABAD: Pakistan clinched victory against Kuwait by 43 runs in the final, securing the title of Hong Kong Sixes champions for the sixth time, with their last success recorded in 2011.
Kuwait won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Pakistan scored a total of 135 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 6 overs. Captain Abbas Afridi made 52 runs but had to retire hurt. Abdul Samad contributed 42 runs, while Khawaja Nafi added 22 runs.
Shahid Aziz was dismissed without scoring, and Moaz Sadaqat contributed 10 runs. Muhammad Shahzad remained not out with 4 runs.
In their pursuit of a target of 136 runs, the Kuwaiti team only managed to score 92 runs.
In the semi-finals, Pakistan secured a thrilling win over Australia by just one run, while Kuwait defeated England by 37 runs to reach the final.
