ISLAMABAD: Pakistan continued their impressive run at the U17 World Volleyball Championship, securing a place in the round of 16 after defeating Algeria in straight sets.
Pakistan beat Algeria 25-17, 25-17, 25-17 to complete a 3-0 victory and qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
Pakistan produced a strong all-round performance, scoring 37 points through attacks, 11 through blocks and four from serves. Algeria managed two points from service, while Pakistan also benefited from 23 points resulting from their opponents’ errors.
Fahad was Pakistan’s top scorer with 20 points, including 16 from attacks and four from blocks.
The victory marks another positive result for Pakistan at the international youth level as the team advances to the round of 16.
