DUBAI: Pakistan will take on India in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four stage today (Sunday), aiming to avenge last week’s seven-wicket defeat in the group stage.

The match starts at 7:30 pm PST at Dubai International Stadium, with Andy Pycroft again officiating as match referee.

On Saturday, the Pakistan squad received warm support at the Dubai Cricket Academy, not only from Pakistani fans but also Indian supporters. Many Indian fans posed for photos and sought autographs from opener Fakhar Zaman.

When PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi arrived at the ICC Academy, the Indian team concluded its training session and returned to the hotel. Naqvi met head coach Mike Hesson, captain Salman Ali Agha, and other players to boost morale, while finalizing match strategy with team management.

The plan includes a reshuffle in the batting order, with Saim Ayub likely to move to No. 4 instead of opening. Hussain Talat may replace Hasan Nawaz in the lineup, while pace duo Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf are expected to retain their spots.

Meanwhile, Pakistan unexpectedly cancelled its pre-match press conference on Saturday, skipping media interaction ahead of the much-anticipated encounter.
