LANDI KOTAL: As many as 110 Pakistani students studying in various medical colleges and universities in Afghanistan safely returned to Pakistan through the Torkham border, officials said.
According to sources, the students had been facing difficulties returning home due to the prevailing situation in Afghanistan, leaving both the students and their families deeply concerned.
Following active role, played by the senior district President of Awami National Party (ANP) Haji Sherin, made possible safe return of the students.
The returning students and their families expressed gratitude to Haji Sherin Afridi, praising his timely intervention and commitment to public service during a difficult time.
Political and social circles also welcomed the initiative, describing it as an example of humanitarian service and responsible leadership.
They hoped that similar practical efforts would continue in the future to address public issues.
It is to be stated here that hundreds of Pakistani students studying in different medical colleges and universities in Afghanistan are stranded across the border because of the closure of Pak-Afghan border.
