Security forces have killed eight militants of the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) during an operation in Kharan district of Balochistan after the militants set up a roadblock to stop and loot vehicles carrying civilians.

According to security sources, the militants had established a checkpoint on a road in Kharan, where they were stopping vehicles and robbing passengers.

Security forces launched a drone-based operation in response, targeting the militants and their reinforcements who arrived at the site.

The sources said all the militants involved in the roadblock, along with those who came to reinforce them, were killed in the operation.

The operation was conducted to protect civilians and ensure the safe movement of traffic along the road, the sources added.
