Pakistan Army carried out decisive air strikes against Fitnat al-Khawarij and their patrons in Afghanistan across the border and targeted the safe havens of the terrorists as well as the infrastructure providing them with logistical support.

The military infrastructure of the Afghan Taliban’s Badri 313 Corps was severely damaged. A terrorist camp in Travo was targeted, destroying the airfield’s oil storage site and key logistics facilities.A terrorist training camp in the Shernaw area was successfully bombed.

Pakistani officials say that the operation will continue until all threats to Pakistan’s security are eliminated. The launch of this operation did not come suddenly, but rather as a result of a series of incidents in recent months and repeated warnings by security forces.

In early morning of Today Fitnat al-Khawarij attempted to attack Kohat using three explosive-laden drones with the help of the Afghan Taliban. Although the Pakistan Army shot down these drones, two Pakistani citizens were injured by their debris. This incident forced Pakistan to move away from a defensive strategy and take a pre-emptive strike.

Pakistan has long been providing evidence to the Kabul government that Fitnat al-Kharij terrorists are using Afghan soil to target security forces and innocent civilians in Pakistan. Pakistan decided to take action itself when the Taliban government failed to take action against these terrorists.

Pakistan had been sending a message to the Afghan Taliban for the past several months that if the attacks from Afghan soil did not stop, Pakistan had the right to target terrorist sanctuaries across the border in self-defense under international law. “Operation Ghaz lil-Haqq” is a practical demonstration of this two-pronged policy.

The use of drone technology by terrorists instead of traditional attacks has emerged as a new challenge for security. Pakistan has made it clear that now it will not only guard the border but also target the “masterminds” of these attacks and their facilitators in their homes.

Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq is a declaration that there will be no compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty. According to defense experts, targeting military installations in key centers like Kabul and Kandahar is a clear message to the Afghan Taliban that they will have to pay the price for sponsoring terrorists in the form of the destruction of their military power.
