PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Agriculture Mian Muhammad Umar addressed a ceremony held for the distribution of appointment letters among newly recruited officers of the Agriculture Department’s On-Farm Water Management Wing and Crop Reporting Wing. He said that the agricultural sector of the province is being further strengthened on the basis of merit, honesty and a spirit of public service.

During the ceremony, Mian Muhammad Umar distributed appointment letters among newly recruited officers through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. The event was attended by Secretary Agriculture Dr. Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan, Additional Secretary Agriculture Dil Nawaz Khan, Director General On-Farm Water Management Hayat Khan Director General Crop Reporting Altaf Shah and other senior officials of the department.

The newly appointed officers include 25 Assistant Directors of Water Management, Water Management Officers and 18 Statistical Officers. Their induction is expected to further improve the performance of the Agriculture Department and water management sector.

Mian Muhammad Umar congratulated the newly appointed officers and advised them to perform their duties with honesty, hard work and professionalism, while prioritizing service to farmers. He said that young and talented officers play a vital role in the development of the province’s agriculture sector and in aligning it with modern requirements.

He expressed hope that new officers would utilize their abilities to improve departmental performance and play an effective role in providing better facilities to farmers.
