RAWALPINDI: All government and private educational institutions across Punjab reopened on Monday with revise timing schedule following summer vacations end, the School Education Department announced.
As per the department’s official notification, new timings will be enforced in all government schools from August 24 to October 15, 2026.Under the revised schedule, single-shift schools will operate from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM from Monday to Thursday.
On Fridays, classes will end earlier at 12:45 PM.In double-shift schools, the morning shift will run from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM from Monday to Thursday and from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday. The evening shift will be from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM on weekdays and from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Fridays.
The notification further stated that all government and private schools in the province will remain open from Monday to Friday. The department has also allowed a 15-minute adjustment in timings for girls’ schools at the district level as per requirement. The School Education Department has directed all Chief Executive Officers and District Education Authorities to ensure strict compliance with the new schedule.
