ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Rawalpindi has officially confirmed Naseem Shah’s exclusion from the team.

According to the team management, Naseem Shah suffered a side injury during the match played against Karachi Kings. Due to this injury, he will not be able to participate in any more matches and will not be available to the team at the moment.

Management says the team’s medical staff is continuously monitoring Naseem Shah’s injury and recovery.

It is hoped that he will be able to rejoin the team by the final stage of the tournament after completing his rehab and obtaining fitness clearance.

The Rawalpindi management has made it clear in its statement that it stands with its star player during this difficult time and will continue to provide all possible support for his speedy recovery.

Fakhar Zaman finally breaks silence amid retirement speculations

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s star opener Fakhar Zaman has responded to the rumors about his retirement from T20 cricket.

National cricketer Fakhar Zaman says that he had seriously considered saying goodbye to the game after the end of the T20 World Cup 2026, but later changed his decision and decided to continue playing cricket.

He clarified that he has no intention of retiring at present and wants to end his T20 career magnificently and memorably.

It should be noted that 35-year-old Fakhar Zaman is a key player in T20 Internationals for Pakistan, whose record has been very impressive.

He has so far scored 2,494 runs in 120 international matches at an impressive strike rate of 132.51, including 14 half-centuries.

Fakhar Zaman is also known for his explosive batting in the PSL, where he is representing Lahore Qalandars for the 11th consecutive season.
