The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a new schedule outlining the validity periods and delivery timelines for various identity documents, with processing times varying according to the type of document and service category selected.

NADRA offers different processing options, including normal, urgent and executive services, for eligible documents. The authority has also specified the eligibility criteria and validity periods for each category.

The Child Registration Certificate, commonly known as the B-Form, can be obtained for children under the age of 18 by their parents or legal guardians. Its validity is divided into three stages: up to three years, up to 10 years, and until the child reaches the age of 18.

Under the normal service, the document is delivered within seven days, while the executive service takes one day. The urgent service is not available for the B-Form.

The Juvenile Card is issued to children under the age of 18 and follows the same validity stages as the B-Form.

NADRA issues the card within 31 days under the normal service, 23 days under the urgent service and nine days under the executive service.

The National Identity Card (NIC) and Smart National Identity Card (SNIC) are available to individuals aged 18 and above. Both have a validity period of 10 years, while cards issued to individuals aged 60 and above are valid for life.

The standard identity card is delivered within 15 days under the normal service, 12 days under the urgent service and six days under the executive service.

For the Smart National Identity Card, the delivery period is 31 days under the normal service, 23 days under the urgent service and nine days under the executive service.

The National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is issued to Pakistani citizens residing abroad. It has a validity period of 10 years.

The document is delivered within 31 days under the normal service, 23 days under the urgent service and nine days under the executive service.

The Pakistan Origin Card (POC) is issued to foreign nationals of Pakistani origin. Its validity ranges from five to seven years.

The card is delivered within 31 days under the normal service, 23 days under the urgent service and nine days under the executive service.

Any individual aged 18 or above can apply for a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) to obtain a record of their registered family members.

According to the schedule, the certificate is issued within 24 hours.

A cancellation certificate can be obtained by a deceased person’s blood relative. NADRA issues the certificate within two days under the normal service.

The revised schedule provides applicants with details of the validity periods, eligibility requirements and expected delivery times for different identity documents.
