The Ministry of Defence has issued a notification for the appointment of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as the Chief of Defence Forces and the extension of the term of service of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu.
Yesterday, President Asif Ali Zardari issued a notification for the appointment of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as the Chief of Defence Forces on the recommendation of the Prime Minister. Now, after the approval of the President, the Ministry of Defence has also issued a notification for the appointment of Field Marshal Asim Munir as the Chief of Defence.
Notification for the appointment of Field Marshal as the Chief of Defense Forces and the extension of the term of service of the Air Chief Marshal was issued. According to the notification, the appointment of Field Marshal Asim Munir as the Chief of Defense Forces will be for 5 years.
The Ministry of Defence has also issued a notification for the extension of the term of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar as the Chief of the Pakistan Air Force by 2 years. The President also approved a two-year extension in the tenure of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Sidhu. According to the announcement, the Air Chief’s extended tenure will begin on March 19, 2026.
