Six members of the same family died in a horrific house fire in the Tehkal area of ​​Peshawar at midnight on Thursday.

According to the rescue, the bodies of six people were recovered from a room of the house. The deceased included a husband, wife and children. According to rescue officials, the deaths were allegedly caused by suffocation due to heat and smoke; the causes of the fire are still unknown.

Rescue officials said that the fire broke out in the hall of the house where furniture and mattresses were present. Due to which the fire spread rapidly and the entire house was filled with smoke.

After the tragic incident, the atmosphere in the area became mournful, while a large number of locals gathered at the scene. Police and related agencies have collected evidence, and investigations are underway from every aspect of the incident.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities before being handed over to the bereaved family for burial. Authorities have assured that the investigation will be conducted thoroughly and that any negligence or contributing factors will be identified.

The tragic incident has once again highlighted the importance of fire safety measures in residential areas, with officials urging citizens to regularly inspect electrical wiring, gas connections, and other potential fire hazards to help prevent similar tragedies in the future.
