KP announces major teacher transfers under new e-transfer policy
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government had launched a massive transfer of teachers under its new e-transfer policy and a large number of principals are being moved around throughout the entire region.
As per the notification released by the Department of Education, a total of 204 male and female principals are being transferred which comprises 183 Senior School Teachers (SSTs) from Mardan and 21 female principals in 18th and 19th grades.
The electronic transfer policy is the government’s strategy to promote better distribution of teaching staff and eventually use them where they are most required. Among the male SSTs, the most highlighted are the ones whose transfers are particularly remarkable, for example, Alauddin moved to GHSS Mashokhel, Peshawar, Mohammad Hassan Shah to GHSS Azakhel, Peshawar, and Akhtar Ali to GHSS Surdizai Bala, Peshawar.
Among the important transfers are also Ashfaq Ahmad to GHSS Nikkaband, Peshawar; Ameen-ur-Rehman to GHSS Ghulbela, Peshawar; and Zawar Hussain to GCMHS Mardan, just to mention a few.
Besides, in the recent streamlining of the education system, 21 female principals who were in grades 18 and 19 were also reassigned. They include Samina Naz to GGHSS Mandani, Charsadda, Janat Bibi to Principal GGHSS Shah Dhand Baba, Mardan, Syeda Masooma Zadi to Principal GGHSS Mata Planazai, Charsadda, and Salima to Principal GGCMHS Katlang, Mardan.
The aforementioned transfers are an integral part of the educational reform that aims to raise the standard of education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which also features the highly debated extension of school holidays to sort out the problems of both students and teachers.
Education Adviser Ziaullah Bangash said that the holiday extension was made to alleviate the hardships that were being faced by both students and teachers due to the ongoing transitions.
