ISLAMABAD: Major General (Retd) Zahid Mahmood has addressed recent rumors suggesting a rift between the establishment and the government, calling them unfounded. He firmly stated that there is no conflict between the government and military leadership.
Major General (Retd) Zahid Mahmood emphasized that the belief in such a rift is merely a rumor and does not reflect reality. He highlighted the exceptional cooperation between the civilian government and military leadership as a key factor behind the national achievements.
Furthermore, he pointed out that through joint efforts and improved coordination, important goals related to national development and internal security are being successfully met.
Some groups and individuals are spreading baseless rumors, which serve the interests of political parties, he said.
