LOWER DIR (Abdullah Madni) The Lower Dir Police have compiled and released a list of individuals allegedly involved in cases of harassment targeting women and boys in various institutions across the district.

According to a police lOWER dIR statement, legal action will be initiated against all accused persons strictly in accordance with the law, without any discrimination. The police have urged victims of harassment or abuse, who may have been targeted by individuals named in the list, to approach the relevant Station House Officer (SHO), Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), or the District Police Officer (DPO) office to lodge complaints.

The police assured that the identities of complainants will be kept strictly confidential and that all victims will be provided full legal protection.

Lower Dir Police reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding women and children and vowed to take effective measures to eliminate harassment and related crimes from society.

Lower Dir residents express concern over poor performance of PTI

Lower Dir residents and Political leaders have expressed concern over PTI performance and lack of funds for ongoing development projects in the district, as many projects have been stalled or at a standstill position.

‎The chairman of the district’s development and advisory committee has said that highways and other basic infrastructure projects have been organized and will start soon.

‎local said that “no major development project has been completed” and the condition of areas including the district headquarters, Timergara, has been described as “underdeveloped”.

‎The point has also been raised in the district’s politics that if this situation continues, it could create problems for the ruling party in the upcoming elections.

The residents demanded of the newly elected Chief Minister to release fund for the developmental projects and improve merit in the appointment of employees.
