The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) has issued a travel advisory urging tourists to exercise extreme caution while visiting rivers, streams, waterfalls, and other tourist destinations due to ongoing rainy weather and the risk of hazardous conditions.

According to the advisory, tourists have been asked to avoid venturing near rivers during heavy rainfall, refrain from using unsafe routes, and stay away from areas vulnerable to flooding or other weather-related dangers. The authority has also strictly prohibited driving vehicles into rivers or streambeds, warning that legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the directive.

Tourists are advised to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before travelling, keep fuel tanks full, carry snacks and drinking water, and have a first-aid kit readily available. The tourism authority reiterated that the safety of visitors remains its top priority and advised tourists to contact the Tourist Facilitation Hub helpline (1422) in case of emergencies or for travel-related assistance.
