Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Syed Fakhar Jahan took immediate action after receiving complaints about the road closure in Hayatabad, Peshawar, and an unpleasant incident involving Excise Department officials, and issued orders to suspend the personnel of the Excise Department.

Following the orders of the provincial minister, the DG Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control has also issued formal orders to suspend the officials involved, and a transparent inquiry will be conducted in this regard.

DG Excise, on the instructions of the provincial minister, has immediately suspended the services of Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Abuzar, Bureau of Intelligence and Investigation, along with the squad, allegedly involved in the unfortunate incident, and has closed them in the Directorate General Peshawar.

Expressing his views in this regard, the provincial minister said that the people’s government will be for the people and, God willing, timely action will be taken on the complaints of the people in the Excise Department. Addressing the people, he said that your minister is with you and just as the vision of the founding chairman, Imran, and the Chief Minister is, no complaint of the people will remain without action.
