The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formally ordered the early disbursement of March salaries and pensions to enhance the joys of Eid-ul-Fitr and provide financial relief to government employees.

According to the notification issued by the Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, some of the departments have started salaries disbursement today.  Salaries and pensions will be paid to all government employees and pensioners of the province before March 16, 2026.

The purpose of this decision is to provide timely funds to the employees for Eid shopping and other expenses so that they can celebrate the religious festival without any financial constraints.

This decision will apply to all government departments, autonomous bodies and retired employees of the province. The provincial government has issued instructions to all concerned accounts offices and departments to complete the preparation of payroll immediately so that the funds can be transferred to the bank accounts of all employees by March 16.

Usually, government employees get their salaries on the first of the next month, but since

this year Eid-ul-Fitr is expected in the third decade of March that is why government has decided to pay advance salaries, maintaining the tradition. The Punjab and Sindh governments have also made similar announcements to facilitate government employees across the country.
