PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a digital payment system for fees related to the manufacturing, dealership, and repair of weapons, making online payment mandatory across the province.

According to officials, all fees associated with arms licenses must now be paid exclusively through the Dastak App. In this regard, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home and Tribal Affairs Department has formally issued a letter to the General Manager of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).

The letter states that manual payment of fees for the registration and renewal of arms licenses will no longer be allowed. All branches of the National Bank of Pakistan operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been instructed to immediately stop accepting cash payments for arms-related licenses.

Under the new directive, payments for arms licenses, license renewals, and repair licenses will only be processed through the designated digital method via the Dastak One Link App. In order to guarantee a successful transition, the bank managers were instructed to notify the candidates and the visitors about the new online payment system.

According to the officials, the initiative is intended to make the process of granting licenses more transparent, quicker, and less dependent on manual work. The move aims to improve transparency, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual handling in the licensing process.
