PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced plans to create a mobile app for tracking the attendance of teachers and staff.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has sent a letter to the Directorate instructing all district education officers to develop this app. The app will utilise modern technology to ensure the attendance of both teaching and non-teaching staff.

The proposed mobile app will also include a leave management system and a school visit management module. Additionally, the app will feature a reporting and analytics dashboard to provide insights into attendance data. The deadline for the preparation and submission of the mobile app is set at 30 days.

District education offices have been authorised to engage IT expert teachers for assistance in this project. A competition will be held across all District Education Officer (DEO) offices to select the best mobile app. Once completed, the app will serve as the official attendance system for government schools in the province.
