PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued new directives regarding the employment quota for children of deceased government employees, in line with recent rulings of the Supreme Court and the Federal Constitutional Court.

According to an official notification, all government departments have been instructed to implement the court decisions. The directives state that no new appointments under the quota system will be made for the children of government employees who passed away or were medically retired after September 26, 2024.

However, quota cases that originated before September 26, 2024, will be processed in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

The notification further states that pending quota cases will be decided on the basis of individual facts, legal merit, and relevant judicial rulings.

All administrative departments have been directed to assess each case separately and ensure compliance with court judgments.

The government has also instructed that any disputed or questionable quota cases related to the children of deceased employees be referred to the Law Department for legal review.

The Human Resource Management Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed all provincial departments and district administrations to ensure strict implementation of the new government instructions.
